Honesty in Labelling
We label our products honestly, while some other cosmetic labels make fraudulent statements like "no water," "100% Organic," some skincare actually claims to be "preservative free;" . It is not possible to make cosmetic creams without a water component. A truly good cosmetic will be made up of a hydrosol of some type plus oil based ingredients and essential oils, and even a preservative. Some other cosmetics available say organic while using a synthetic preservative.
Preservatives are necessary in skincare. Fortunately Nature provides some very effective preservatives that also assist in providing antioxidants. Natricide is one of those preservatives, while technically a fragrance it does a double duty of preserving creams and lotions. We don't use it because we prefer using Potassium Sorbate & Vitamin E, which are equally effective, and we believe has a greater anti-oxidant value to the skin. By the way, no other fragrance is actually an effective preservative.
Why Organic Ingredients?
We all need help to keep our skin young and supple. Why would you use a chemical that doesn't absorb completely into your skin and that has the potential to create broken cells? These broken cells are known as free radicals, and are thought to be the cause of many diseases in humans. Nature designs her products for every skin, products that will absorb into the skin, bolster our health and beauty and keep our skin looking young.
When we say our cosmetics are made from botanicals we mean they are 100% plant based. When we say they are organic we label each product that is organically certified. We use a naturally occurring Vitamin E as a preservative.
All our botanic ingredients are organically grown, & most of them are actually certified organic, but not all skincare ingredients are available as being certified organic.
In April 2012 we will launch our new packaging and new formulations. We are sure you'll love them.
But until then - something more to love. We are running out our old packaging, the product is newly packaged and has a long shelf life.
